Mandy Maxon, Co-Founder & Educator

Mandy’s teaching journey began at a small family summer camp, sparking a lifelong love for joyful, playful learning. This passion blossomed through her professional life, including a decade teaching first grade, third grade, and K-5 music in public schools. As a professional pianist and singer, Mandy performed all over Texas, following in the footsteps of her father and finding her voice through the magic of improvisation and song. She also launched her own music studio, Maxon Music Stars, and successfully transitioned to online lessons during the pandemic. For the past four years, Mandy has been homeschooling her three children, an experience she considers the greatest honor of her teaching career. Now, she's blending her passions for performance and education to create educational joy with Bestie Wonderland.

Carlotta Binns, Co-Founder & Educator

Carlotta brings a unique and invaluable skill set to the Bestie Wonderlab team. For over 12 years, she has dedicated her career to special education, holding dual certifications in Elementary Education. She specializes in teaching students who are blind, DeafBlind, have low vision, or are Deaf. Carlotta’s extensive background as a vocalist, educator, and entrepreneur makes her the perfect partner in this educational adventure. She is passionate about creating inclusive and accessible learning experiences for all children, ensuring every hero feels seen, heard, and celebrated.
